Ten Francs Coin (Hercules Type),

Obverse:
The denomination and date are enclosed within a laurel wreath, surrounded by
the inscription “REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE” (Republic
of France). The central legend reads “10 FRANCS” with
the date 1965 below.
Reverse:
The reverse features the celebrated “Hercules group,” depicting Hercules
standing between allegorical figures of Liberty and Equality, a powerful emblem
of Republican ideals. An exergue line appears beneath the group. The
surrounding inscription reads “LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ
FRATERNITÉ” (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity), with the
designer’s name Dupré below.

Relief edge design.

Silver (.900); weight 25 g; diameter 37 mm; round. Struck by the Monnaie de
Paris (Paris Mint).
